EDLASTON, a parish in the hundred of APPLETREE, county of DERBY, 2 miles (S.) from Ashbourn, containing, with Wyaston, 277 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Derby, and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry, rated in the king's books at £3. 18. 4., and in the patronage of the Dean of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to St. James.

WYASTON, a township in the parish of EDLASTON, hundred of APPLETREE, county of DERBY, 3 miles (S. by E.) from Ashbourn. The population is returned with the parish.
