Lancaster Flyover, Matlock

Recent Photograph of Lancaster Flyover (Matlock)

We watched a Lancaster fly over Matlock last weekend - a few days before the commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Dambusters Raids on 16th May 2008. The visit to Matlock was to celebrate the completion of Bailey's Tump WW2 Air Defence site. We were watching from Riber hillside, where it came right over our heads. This spectacular view shows it turning over Matlock, though the sun put the town in a haze.

[Even so, one can't help noticing the distinctive Rockside Hydro - Ed!]
