Recent Photograph of Wensley Wesleyan Church (Wensley)

The Wesleyan Church is on the opposite side of the road to the Reading Room. According to Non-Conformist Chapels and Meeting Houses, Derbyshire (1986), it was built in 1829, and enlarged in 1879.

Elsewhere, on Derbyshire Churches and Chapels website, the chapel is noted as being “the birthplace of the Methodist Local Preachers' Mutual Aid Association”.
