View from Churchyard, Foy

Recent Photograph of View from Churchyard (Foy)

The church sits on a bluff raised a comfortable distance above the flood plain of the River Wye, where sheep graze in the dry season. The river may be seen on the right of the photograph sparkling in the morning sunlight.

Foy parish spans both sides of the river, and the two parts are connected by a suspension foot bridge about half a mile from the church. It is necessary to travel south to Ross or north to Hoarwithy to cross by vehicle.
