This is one of several gravestones propped up against the west wall of the churchyard.

In Affectionate Remembrance
of James MONK
who departed this life Feb 10th
1872 Aged 42 Years.
Adieu dear wife and child so dear.
I am not dead but sleeping here.
My time was come you plainly see
[??]In but a while and follow me.
His end was peace.
