CHESTERTON, a township in the parish of WOLSTANTON, northern division of the hundred of PIREHILL, county of STAFFORD, 2 miles (N. by W.) from Newcastle under Line, containing 974 inhabitants. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
