BRAILSFORD, a parish in the hundred of APPLETREE, county of DERBY, 7¼ miles (N.W. by W.) from Derby, containing 724 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Derby, and diocese or Lichfield and Coventry, rated in the king's books: at £9. 19. 2., and in the patronage of Earl Ferrers. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
