Baptist Chapel, Crich (Evangelical)

The inscription just below the clock face on the gable facing us says “Baptist Chapel”. Whilst the chapel appears to be closed up at the time this photograph was taken (2004), a notice board adjacent to the steps leading up to the doorway in 2010 - reminding us that it is ‘Crich Baptist Church’ - gives the appearance of it still being open for worship.

It was built on the site of “the old Wheeldon House, in the Market Place”.^[1]
