The Duke of York Public House, Elton

The Duke of York Public House is situated across the main road from All Saints Church, in The Square, a small amount of which can be seen in front of the pub on this photograph.

It's the only pub left now in the village and there are no longer any shops - Bakewell, or Matlock are the nearest supermarkets. The good news is however that there's still a bus service... Hulley's of Baslow, which also passes through Winster.
