The New Bridge, Froggatt (1)

Recent Photograph of The New Bridge (1) (Froggatt)

The ‘New Bridge’ was built in 1781 for Greenhill to Calver Turnpike traffic, although it is believed to have replaced an earlier bridge at this spot. There is a datestone on the upstream parapet.[1]

This snapshot is taken from the public footpath running along the river bank from the ‘Old Bridge’.
