Pictures of the Past : Old Bleach Mill, Little Eaton

Old Postcard of Old Bleach Mill (Little Eaton)

This card was posted home to Australia in September 1909 by the contributor, Phil Williamson's[1] grandfather - he was in the UK for 18 months during the period 1909/10 studying at the Royal College of Music in London. The message on the back of it says:

“ This is a picture of the old bleach mill. The mill wheel is still working, though work has ceased for a long time.”

His interest in Little Eaton is believed to be relating to his grandmother, Sarah Webster, who was born in Little Eaton in about 1824.[1]
