Baptist Church, WirksworthRecorded as erected in 1885 in Kelly's Directory of 1895 (at a cost of £2,200), it seems likely this building was a replacement for an earlier Baptist chapel mentioned in Derbyshire Record Office's Non-Conformist Register List, as founded in 1816. Their entry also mentions the Baptist Cemetery in North End, which has a small chapel building, now closed. (Information provided by Rosemary Lockie)
