Methodist Church, Youlgreave

Recent Photograph of Methodist Church (Youlgreave)

The inscription in the stonework in the gable above the windows says this was the Primitive Methodist Chapel. According to ‘The Bugle’, it was completed in 1895, at a cost of over £1,000, and replaced an earlier Primitive Chapel at Bank Side, dating from 1822.

It is also the home (in 2000) of Youlgreave Silver Band.
