Some Memorial Inscriptions - Alderley, Gloucestershire
St Kenelm's Churchyard & Tresham Chapel of Ease

The Church at Tresham does not have a dedication, but is provided for the convenience of Tresham inhabitants, as a Chapel of Ease to its parish church. Its mother parish was originally Hawkesbury, but it was transferred to Alderley, two miles distant, some time prior to 1923.

The following MIs from the Church were kindly contributed by Alf Beard, 7th March 2002. Entries supply name, date of death, age, and an estimated date of birth.
TRESHAM CHAPEL OF EASE
A1. Arthur FRANKCAM, 8 Aug 1937, 69, 1868
[Please note: 'FRANKCAM' is as the inscription is on the stone.
There are no FRANKCAMs listed on the 1881 census;
however 10 years later, Arthur FRANCOMB appears on the 1891 census,
then aged 23, Ag. Lab and living with his parents John and Sarah FRANCOMB.
On the Commonwealth War Graves site his son is recorded as Trooper
William FRANKCOM, died in 1944 a. 20. The latter spelling is more
common in Hawkesbury, Tresham, Little Badminton in the 19th C.
