On the back of the postcard there is a message
“Dear (?)A / U. We will come Saturday Mor before 12. Please not to put your self about for us. Sorry you have been so poorly. Love to all. Yours (?)V. L.”,
but it has been crossed out: presumably the sender had second thoughts!
It is addressed to “Mr A. Matthews, High Street, Cheltenham.”
