SHORNCUTT, a parish in the hundred of HIGHWORTH-CRICKLADE-and-STAPLE, county of WILTS, 5 miles (W.N.W.) from Cricklade, containing 25 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £4. 7. 6., and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to All Saints.
