The inscriptions read:

with Rachel HOPTON dafter / of the Right Worshepfvll Ser
Arter HOPTON Knight whoe / Dyed the 5 Day of Jvly in the
Yeare of Ovr Lord God 1620
Here lyeth the body of Ra-chel the Davgther of the R.W.
Sir Arthvr HOPTON Knight / first Married to Alexander
STANER Esqr. after to Lew-is THOMAS Esqr. who being 55(?)
Yeares of Age deceased the xith Day of November in the
Year of Ovr Lord 1663
