St John the Evangelist's Church, StorridgeSt John the Evangelist's Church was designed by Frederick Preedy in 1856, based on a design of a 13th century building - this probably explains why my companion said - “but that's an old church” - when I had explained it was relatively “new”... The east window was one of Preedy's first commissions. He also designed the Old Rectory, which may be nearby, although we were unsuccessful in finding it, so were unable to go inside the church.
