The Castle, Kinnersley

Recent Photograph of The Castle (Kinnersley)

This is Kinnersley Castle - unexpectedly turning out to be a Tudor Mansion! This is a reconstruction, in Tudor times (c.1588) of the original medieval castle next to St James's Church for its more practical use as a dwelling. This view is from the Churchyard - according to legend, an underground passage links it to the Church.

It is open to the public on selected Saturday and Sunday afternoons from May to September.
