Rudge Memorial, Weston under PenyardThis Monument to James Rudge, who died in 1808 has a less than expansive inscription, a relief above showing a man cradling another fallen, and a tethered horse behind. Above half-kneeling is presumably the deceased, a late example of this motif. (Information provided by Phil Draper) Ed: As best I can tell from the photo, the inscription says:-
