This memorial has been erected over the burial place of Mr HILTON in recognition of his worth and ability as a Musician and generous hearted man, who did much to cultivate and improve the musical taste of the people of Longton, to help charitable objects. The cost was defrayed by public subscription and by a concert given in Queens Park, Longton by the town Military Band He died 26 March 1894 |
