Inside St John the Baptist's Church, IngleshamI failed (and I rarely do) the ‘open the door’ test on this one, and had to be let in kindly by one of the ladies already inside! Box pews, peeling plaster and painted texts etc, all delighfully “unrestored” inside (the outside had been prettified with recent white paint). Architecturally too the blank arcading in the chancel was quite stately and well executed for such a small building. (Information provided by Phil Draper)
