The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £6. 5., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Salisbury. The church, dedicated to St. Peter, has lately received an addition of forty free sittings, the Incorporated Society for the enlargement of churches and chapels having granted £20 towards defraying the expense. |
