Henry FOTHERGILL for some time Minister of this Church, he died the 17th of December 1827 Aged 32 Years He was highly respected by a numerous circle of Friends, who deeply regret his untimely Loss. He was a Native of Ravenstonedale near Kendal Westmoreland. Also his second son, John FOTHERGILL, Priest, Born Decr. 4th. 1823. Died Augt. 14th. 1899. Save me, O God, for the waters are come in even unto my soul I stick fast in the deep mire, where no ground is. I am come into deep waters, so that the floods run over me. Psm. 69. Ver. 1.2. [Ed: according to Alumini Oxoniensis, he was b. about 1772, so apparently an age of 32 is incorrect, but that is what the tablet says] | |

He died on ye 28th. Day of August 1793 Aged 81 Years Anna his wife died on ye 6th Day of Octr. 1792 Aged 72 Yrs. Ann their Eldest Daughter Wife of Thomas WEBB of Berrow in this County Gent. died on ye 7th Day of June 1795 Aged 46 Years of her it may be justly recorded, She did good and not evil all the Days of her Life Also of / the above named Thomas WEBB who died at his house at Berrow on the 5t. Day of November 1829 Aged 82 Years Henry STEPHENS, died January 17th 1831 the grandson of the above named Thomas WEBB. |
