Inside Church of the Ascension, Malvern LinkThe interior has a pointed barrel vault with cross ribs to the nave and a fully worked up vault in the chancel. The side windows are groups of lancets recessed internally with wall arcading and shafting in front creating the illusion of a walkway. Of course I visited during Lent, so all the finery and decoration was shrouded, wall hangings removed and the magnificent triptych (according to the lady who provided a key) was shut. The metal screen by Bainbridge Reynolds was however there to be admired. (Information provided by Phil Draper)
