Sir John Russell, Strensham (d.1405)One of two fine brasses in the chancel floor, in very similar styles, of the knight in armour - the other is for Sir Robert Russell, d.1390. These two are the earliest of a collection of monuments to the Russell family which (the guide book points out) “represent a remarkable example of the changes in style and fashion over the four centuries, each reflecting accurately, if unconsciously, the sentiments of their time”.
