The War Memorial on the Market Place - funded by public subscription in 1919. Whilst most other memorials commemorate those who lost their lives in the two World Wars, this one goes a step further and also includes all the local men who served in WWI. In 1994, the Parish Council added the inscriptions for those who served in WWII.

The names, almost 600 in total can be seen at www.chapel-en-le-frithparishcouncil.gov.uk by choosing “War Memorial” from the menu. Alternatively, look at www.roll-of-honour.com (Chapel en le Frith for extra details.
