To the memory of the late William HOGG, Who died at a very advanced aged on the 8th of November 1800. He was for fifty years a much esteemed gratuitous preacher of the Gospel in the Tabernacles of London, Bristol Rodborough and various places in this and adjoining counties. It is incredible the sums of money he expended in the charity, they that be wise shall shine as the firmament and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever Betty his excellent wife died 31st March 1780 Her kindness and liberty to all especially to the poor was gratefully remembered and often expressed for many years after her decease They had eight sons and four daughters whom they lived to see comfortably established in life |
