Inside St Matthias's Church, Malvern Link

Recent Photograph of Inside St Matthias's Church (Malvern Link)

The west two bays of nave and aisles screened off, at lower level, with odd tent-like structures above presumably to let in natural light? The rood screen has painted saints - copies of East Anglian examples I believe, done by one of the nuns at the local Anglican priory (now shut) in 1918. These are absolutely stunning and well worth the effort to see if you are ever here. I also loved the glass in the nave west windows, with much use of blues, but the artist is not recorded in Bridges or Buildings of England.

The lady with key then gave me directions for my next crucial target - Tapper's Church of the Ascension.
