BAUNTON, a parish in the hundred of CROWTHORNE-and-MINETY, county of GLOUCESTER, 1¾ mile (N. by E.) from Cirencester, containing 129 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Gloucester, endowed with £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage of John Masters, Esq. The Roman Fosse-way passes along the eastern border of the parish.
