All Hallows Church, South CerneyI was greatly surprised at the size of South Cerney, almost a small town, but off the main roads. The church too is large, with a central tower, which once carried a stone spire which was struck by lightning in 1857 and never rebuilt, although the guidebook does have an early photograph showing the spire.
