Inside St Michael & All Angels Church, Tirley

Yes, those are wall paintings above the Chancel arch!

Their restoration is described in the excellent guide book - written by local historian Brian Pegler - available inside the church. The book also includes an account of the history of Tirley itself. The church was known intermittently as both St Matthew's and St Michael's until the 1890s, when it became more officially St Michael.
