St Peter's Church, Peterstone Wentlooge / Llanbedr GwynllwgThe recently published “Gwent” volume of the Buildings of Wales sees John Newman enthuse over this building "indeed the noblest and most beautiful Perpendicular churches in the whole county", a "queen" among churches by the Severn Estuary. He illustrates the exterior and interior in the plates. However the Church in Wales sold this Grade I listed church in 2002, and it is now a private house. The residents are in the process of converting the north aisle into bedrooms etc, the chancel is apparently a large kitchen. This view is from the north. (Information provided by Phil Draper)
