St Peter's Church, Peterstone Wentlooge / Llanbedr Gwynllwg
The recently published “Gwent” volume of the Buildings of Wales sees John Newman enthuse over this building "indeed the noblest and most beautiful Perpendicular churches in the whole county", a "queen" among churches by the Severn Estuary. He illustrates the exterior and interior in the plates. However the Church in Wales sold this Grade I listed church in 2002, and it is now a private house. The residents are in the process of converting the north aisle into bedrooms etc, the chancel is apparently a large kitchen. This view is from the north. (Information provided by Phil Draper)
