St Leonard's Church, Keevil

Recent Photograph of St Leonard's Church (Keevil)

The church of St Leonard at Keevil has some pretense of grandeur, especially outside. It has a large tower, embattled aisles with continuous step-embattled east gable over aisles and nave with a sanctus bellcote at the apex. It was grander still but a number of the pinnacles have recently been removed “for reasons of safey”. It is largely Perpendicular, although the chancel has two 13th century lancets. There is an unusual west porch with ribbed stone roof sheltering the tower doorway.
