Inside St Andrew's Church, PixleyIt is delightfully dark and cool on a hot summer's day inside this little old “working” church. Those are dried hop plants strung out across the top of the altar screen. Lancet windows in the east wall of the chancel (facing us) are (according to Pevsner) original 13th century work, as are the timber posts supporting the bell turret. The church was restored in 1865.
