Holy Trinity Church, Eckington

Recent Photograph of Holy Trinity Church (Eckington)

Holy Trinity Church is in the centre of Eckington Village, beside the B4080, which in spite of being a minor road is quite heavily used - probably because Eckington Bridge has the merit of being one of the bridging points of the River Avon. It is a narrow single track bridge, controlled by traffic lights, and the road upstream of the bridge is notable for flooding in periods of heavy rainfall. However on the day of our visit, that was yet to happen. The year, 2008, is on record as one of the worst for summer floods.
