Inside Our Lady & St Edmund's RC Church, Great Malvern

Recent Photograph of Inside Our Lady & St Edmund's RC Church (Great Malvern)

Here are nave and north aisle, chancel and north chapel. Both nave and aisle have outer chapel recesses. Malvern College bought the monastery before the first world war, and in 1995 bought the church as well.It is now the Music school and today my luck was in as an Art Exhibition was coming to an end and I was welcomed in for a look around and to take pics.

The furniture is all removed, save for the stations of the cross and the stained glass. The side chapels are curtained off for storage. The cruellest insertion is a RSJ beam across the chancel - but maybe structurally this was needed as the Catholics abandoned the church due to hefty repairs that were needed. The sale of the church funded the expansion of St Joseph's RC Church, Malvern Link which we saw earlier.
