TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION by EADON, LOCKWOOD & RIDDLE, F.A.I., at THE MAYNARD ARMS HOTEL, GRINDLEFORD, on WEDNESDAY, 4th NOVEMBER, 1953, at 7.30 p.m. precisely, subject to the Law Society's Conditions of Sale (1953 Edition) and to special Conditions.

Lot 1.
AN ENCLOSURE OF GRASSLAND, adjoining Stoke Quarry, and with frontage to EYAM ROAD, GRINDLEFORD, let to Mr. J. Ollerenshaw at an annual rental of £9. AREA: 4.963 acres or thereabouts. FREEHOLD. Notice to terminate the Tenancy has been given and expires on the 25th) March, 1954.

Lot 2.
AN ENCLOSURE OF GRASSLAND with frontage to EYAM ROAD, GRINDLEFORD, and let to Mr. J. Ollerenshaw at a rental of £12 per annum. AREA: 7.483 acres or thereabouts. FREEHOLD. Notice to terminate the Tenancy has been given and expires on 25th March, 1954.

Lot 3.
AN ENCLOSURE OF GRASSLAND adjoining Middleton Plantation, STONEY MIDDLETON, and let to Mr. J. Ollerenshaw at a rental of £3 per annum. AREA: 2.324 acres or thereabouts. FREEHOLD. Notice to terminate the Tenancy has been given and expires on 25th March, 1954.

Lot 4.

Lot 5.
A SIMILAR FREEHOLD COTTAGE, situated in SIR WILLIAM ROAD, GRINDLEFORD, and let to Mrs. Gibson at a annual rental of £15/12-, the tenant paying rates. The accommodation is the same as Lot 4, except that this Cottage shares the Earth Closet included in Lot 4. THE SITE IS FREEHOLD.

A DETACHED STONE-BUILT COTTAGE, known as “GOATSCLIFFE COTTAGE”, GRINDLEFORD, occupied by Mr. W. Goddard at an annual rental of £21/17/8, the landlord paying rates amounting to £5/17/- per annum net. Lot 8.
A SIMILAR COTTAGE, known as “WHITE'S COTTAGE”, GRINDLEFORD, occupied by Mr. F. Biggin at an annual rental of £16/5/-, the landlord paying rates amounting to £5/17- per annum net. THE SITE IS FREEHOLD. The Cottage comprises: Sitting Room, Kitchen, Pantry, 3 Bedrooms, Wash house, Coalhouse, Pigsty.

Lot 9.
THE FREEHOLD SMALL FARM, known as “GOATSCLIFFE FARM”, GRINDLEFORD, together with STOKE WOOD and FLORA WOOD. Goatscliffe Farm and 28.487 acres or thereabouts are let to Mr. S. White at a rental of £50 per annum, tenant paying rates, and the remainder of the Land, which is principally Moorland, is in hand. The Farmhouse contains: Sitting Room, Living Room, Kitchen, Pantry, Cellar, 4 Bedrooms, Coalhouse, and the Outbuildings comprise: Cowhouse for 24, Dairy, 2 Pigstys, Dutch Barn, Garage.
