Inside St John's Church, Coleford

A huge church by today's collection's standards, and a design of some merit, especially inside. Aisleless broad and lofty with double transepts, cross gabled outside and treated like aisles inside. Narrower apsidal projection for the sanctuary, a dramatic feature, like the roof. 1878-80 by F.S. Waller.
