All Saints Church, Newland (Sir Edward Probyn)

Recent Photograph of All Saints Church (Sir Edward Probyn) (Newland)

In an odd outer south chapel - Sir Edward Probyn d.1742 - a standing monument, largely architectural and inscription, but with a rather smug-looking bust of this gentleman with long curly wig. I think the middle bit (sarcophagus to his nephew John Probyn d.1773) has been inserted between bust and epitaph. The bust is shown wearing chain of office of the Exchequer, which the inscription records he was Lord Baron of the Court of the Exchequer.
