St Michael & All Angels Church, Tirley

Tirley is a delightful little church - well worth a visit. The guide book suggests there was a church, or chapel on the site about 1220, when “John the Priest” witnessed a deed, and in 1221 a chaplain called Bernard held a free tenement. These are the first 2 names on the List of Incumbents inside the church.
