All Saints Church, Brockhampton by Ross

Recent Photograph of All Saints Church (Brockhampton by Ross)

All Saints Church is a most unusual church, arguably one of the most important buildings of the 20th century. It was designed by William Richard Lethaby (1857-1931), who was variously Principal of the Central School of Arts and Crafts, Professor of Design at the Royal College of Art, and a Surveyor to the fabric of Westminster Abbey, for Mrs Alice Madeline Foster, of Brockhampton Court; and was built for her in 1901-2, as a memorial to her parents, Eben D and Julia Jordon, of Boston, Massachusetts.
