This Plan indicates the location of Plots in the Old Graveyard of St Anne's Church, recorded in the accompanying Index of Memorial Inscriptions.

Zoom into the Plan by clicking the left mouse button. Click the right mouse button to Zoom out again. You can also use the mouse wheel to move in and out, and can pan the map by dragging the mouse.

The ‘Finding Aids’ button below will list the available Surname and Plot indexes.

Using the ‘Locating a Grave’ button provides some useful tips for locating a particular grave in situ.

The ‘Help’ button will restore this information screen.

It is not easy to find a Gravestone, even with the map. I (David) suggest the following

1. Locate the Grave number, using the Surname Index, and if necessary, in the List of Plots

2. Locate your Grave number in the Plan of Rows and Numbers

   Write down the Numbers of -

   - the two stones on each side of your choice and
   - the stones at the end of your row, and
   - the stones at the end of two or three adjacent rows
   

3. Using the Plot List, add a name to each of the above Numbers

   Eg to find D12, make notes of

   D10	Bowler E
   D11	Bowler E
   D13	Marsden W
   D14	edward flaked
   D01	Ingram M	D07	Gregory A
   D08	Boler C	D17	Gregory G
   D18	Gregory H	D19	flat
   D20	Outram J	D23	Glossop M

4. If possible take the map with you. Locate first your row, and then your Gravestone
