Gravestone of Francis Cliffe, Brookthorpe (CWG)
This is the only Commonwealth War Gravestone in Brookthorpe Churchyard. Its Inscription reads: 551436 Corporal F.A.H. CLIFFE There is a separate flat tablet at the base. It is partly obscured by foliage, but the readable portion records it is in in Loving Memory of Frank & Frances CLIFFE The CWGC website records the additional information that the Corporal's full name was "Francis Albert Harry", and he was the son of Herbert Frank and Frances Cordelia CLIFFE, of Brookthorpe.
