St Mary Magdalene's Church, Stretton Sugwas (South View)

Recent Photograph of St Mary Magdalene's Church (South View) (Stretton Sugwas)

This part of the church looks new, but other parts were transferred from an older church nearer the centre of Stretton Sugwas village. Unfortunately, we missed seeing one of its early treasures - a tympanum carving of Samson and The Lion above the norman south doorway which Pevsner says is of the ‘Herefordshire School’.
