The Old Red Lion, Grindleford

Recent Photograph of The Old Red Lion (Grindleford)

The semi-circular outline of the “Old Red Lion” Inn Sign can just be seen painted into in the brickwork above this doorway. Perhaps a smidgen of imagination is required to see it, but trust me, it's there! The Inn was kept by Joe and Ellen OUTRAM in the 1880s. They later moved to "The Commercial" (later to become The Sir William Hotel) to where the pub licence was transferred when The Red Lion closed.

Please note the Old Red Lion premises is now a private house.
