Another Tomb, Eyam (Rear View)

Recent Photograph of Another Tomb (Rear View) (Eyam)

The other side of this intriguing Tomb may be seen on another photograph.

A trick of photography on the other photograph (and perhaps the viewer's expectation) makes it look as though there are 4 pillars surrounding it, one at each corner. However as can be seen on this photograph, there are only 3, so possibly the 4th was damaged or removed.

The Tomb doesn't appear to have any inscription, and what also seems strange is that none of the guide books on Eyam appear to mention it. Yet the intricate carving might imply that its owner was a person of substance.

In the background is the imposing frontage of the former Bulls Head Inn, now converted into appartments and called Talbot Court.
