Stoney Middleton - Sketch of The Grouse Inn (2)

Black and White Sketch of The Grouse Inn (2) (Stoney Middleton)

This sketch is based upon an old postcard of unknown vintage, showing what used to be the “Grouse” Inn in Stoney Middleton, and before that, “The Boot and Shoe”. Note the tall chimney on the long low building to the right of centre on the skyline (I will be trying to find out what this used to be - looks like a factory?).

Compare this with a sketch from the present day, from a more elevated viewpoint, also showing the former Toll House (out of sight, to the right of this sketch).
